Just like many professions boils down to solving other's problems, my business is to employ computer power to either generate solution or to become one. For most it is done by means of coding.

I'm basically secular regarding the choice of tools. In many cases the nature of the problem does the preselection. In some cases it may come down to the customer's preference. Retrospective statistics would probably reveal prevalence of C (several breeds), VS components (VC, FOXPRO), and various assemblers. I do not shy away from RAD tools as well. From my view point both OO and Procedural Programming have their appropriate uses. My role is to provide the most effective available solution, both in cost and results - to solve your specific problem.
